Why is my card-reader locked out for use with Online Banking?

Your card will be locked out of the card reader if the unique number (PASSCODE) is incorrectly entered too many times.

If you only have one NatWest card that you use with your card reader, you will see:
Your access to the full service has been locked, to access the full service again you'll need to unlock your card for use in Online Banking. To do this select the 'Need help?' tab on the right, type 'card locked' and follow the on screen steps.

If you have more than one card you use with your card reader, you will see:
We're sorry but the passcode entered hasn't been recognised and the NatWest card you're using has been locked for use in Online Banking. To unlock your card select the 'Need help?' tab on the right, type 'card locked' and follow the on screen steps.

If you have another NatWest card, please select that from the options below and use that to authorise this transaction. Or if you believe it's correct please call the helpdesk.

Don't worry, you can still use your debit card at ATMs and to pay for things. But you'll need to unlock it to use with your card reader in Online Banking.
