How good is Strategy Deployment in your organization? ‘Getting things done’ is difficult for companies. This applies to short-term goals, but especially to the activities needed for realizing medium- and long-term ambitions. At Toyota, managers are successfully using the concept of Hoshin Kanri, which means ‘compass management’. Together with associate professor Dirk van Goubergen (VU Amsterdam), the HAN Lean-QRM Centre conducts research on critical success factors in the development of compass management within companies. Graduate student Toine Voeten, from the VU, is doing a master project on this topic.
