Who is it for?
Meals on Wheels is for people with a wide variety of support needs, they may be:
- in their senior years,
- recovering after a major illness or surgery,
- a person with a disability, a carer, or
- needing assistance due to a special circ*mstance.
Meals on Wheels offer more than just a meal, as our daily visits help to monitor the health and wellbeing of our customers, especially those who may not see others regularly.
When do we deliver?
We deliver Monday to Friday, generally before 10am. Weekend and Public Holiday meals will be delivered on the working day prior for freezing or refrigeration.
What's in a meal?
We provide quality nutritious meals delivered to your door:
- soup
- main meal
- dessert
- juice.
All meals are delivered cooked and chilled ready for heating, refrigeration or freezing.
Do you make special meals?
We can cater for most dietary requirements such as, but not limited to:
- Diabetes
- Vegetarian
- Gluten Free
- Dairy Free
- Pescatarian
- Textured modified meals
Do I need to be home?
Yes, you must be home to receive the meal. This is so we can:
- make sure we are meeting our food safety requirements
- monitor the health, safety, and wellbeing of our customers
- follow up with other services if needed or assist you with information on other supports and activities

If you have a medical appointment or difficulty getting to the front door, we can make special arrangements.
Eligibility Criteria
Our Meals on Wheels services is available to all.
If you are 64 years and younger you may be eligible for State Government subsidised service. Please call Council on 1300 368 333 and speak to one of our Health Ageing Officers.
Or if you are 65 years and older you may be eligible for Federal Government subsidy if you meet Commonwealth Home Support eligibility criteria or are in receipt of an Aged Care Package.
