About the Item
A one of a kind, large decorative centerpiece bowl, entirely handcrafted from pigmented scagliola - a lengthy ancient method of crafting stone in marbleised form. With its organic asymmetrical shape, the piece is crafted in three individual parts, each section features a unique mix of composites and pigments that complement each other. Each part individually crafted, sanded, filled and polished, and the three sections connect and merge while maintaining their distinct forms.Resembling a sea creature, this exquisite piece has a smooth finish on the outside, achieved through multiple sanding, filling, and polishing processes. The bowl's inner part, approx 27cm deep, featuring a subtle texture that contrasts with the smooth outer surface, and is finished in gold liquid metalA one of a kind decorative large bowl that makes a beautiful centerpiece or can stand alone on a plinth as a work of art.Available now.
