How to increase or decrease the Credit Limit of your Citi Card (2024)

Once you have received your right credit card, it is important to find out what the credit limit on your card is.
A credit limit is the maximum amount that is available for usage on your credit card. You need to set the right credit limit to keep yourself out of debt and simultaneously build a good credit score.

To check the credit limit on your card, you can refer to your monthly card statement or view it on Citibank Online or the Citi Mobile app. A part of the credit limit assigned to your card account can be used to withdraw cash. This is the 'cash limit'. The assigned credit limit has cash limit included in it. Cash withdrawal from your credit card is subject to applicability ofinterest charges and cash withdrawal fee.

The reward points accumulated on the closed card will be transferred to the active card in the ratio applicable depending on the card type and subject to terms and conditions. However, the outstanding balance and loans on the closed card will not be transferred to the active card. Hence, complete payment will have to be made on the closed card as per the latest statement.
