Overview

A boon support healer build for Specter. Provides permanent Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (2) Alacrity, Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (3) Fury, 25 Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (4) Might, Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (5) Protection (mostly), Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (6) Regeneration, Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (7) Swiftness and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (8) Vigor. Also provides high uptimes of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (9) Resistance and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (10) Stability.

Specter can provide a very wide range of boons and an excellent mixture of direct healing and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (11) Barrier. Further, its tether mechanic allows it to provide Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (12) Alacrity at 1200 range, making it excellent at handling mechanics.

Unfortunately, unlocking this build's maximum potential involves using ally-targeted weapon skills. Very few builds use this mechanic, so this can feel quite unnatural and will likely involve setting new keybinds.

This build has a lot of overlap with the healing variant of the Condi Boon Support, so you can mix and match options between these to suit your group.

Weapon Variants

  • Offhand Dagger can be used in the Scepter set for the hybrid damage build.

Skill Variants

Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (13)Well of Bounty is necessary as your primary source of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (14) Regeneration, but the other two skills can be swapped out:

  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (15)Blinding Powder is the easiest way to high Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (16) Protection uptime, but using it stealths allies. This will mess with deadeyes in your group and so should be avoided if they are present.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (17)Well of Silence heals thanks to its shadowstep, offers CC and is a rare source of condi cleanse.

Other alternatives include:

  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (18)Shadow Refuge - The most potent utility skill for healing. Comes with the same caveats as Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (19)Blinding Powder, and offers worse Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (20) Protection uptime, but could replace Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (21)Well of Silence on encounters without condi cleanse.
  • For more frequent breakbars, you may find Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (22)Basilisk Venom valuable.

Specializations

  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (23)Quick Pockets is a good option for more initiative.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (24)Second Opinion on encounters where high incoming damage makes Shadow Force harder to maintain, so Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (25)Consume Shadows will be much weaker. In such cases, you should also use the Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (26) Plaguedoctor stats variant.

Equipment

Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (27) Harrier stats gear is used for maximum healing power and boon duration. On encounters with high incoming damage, then you may require the extra Shadow Force that comes from higher vitality, making the Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (28) Plaguedoctor stats variant below stronger.

  • If tanking, swap in as many Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (31) Giver stats or Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (32) Minstrel stats pieces as necessary.

Condi Variant

You can swap in Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (33) Plaguedoctor stats for a massive damage boost and almost no loss of healing, but the boon duration is significantly lower - you want to make sure it's at least 60% or you might as well be running the healing variant of the DPS alacrity build.

Utility

Usage

Players wishing for more information can find an exceedingly detailed guide here. Note that there are some small differences in build recommendations.

Alacrity

Thanks to the Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (38)Shadestep trait, every shroud skill you use provides AoE around your tethered target. This means that Specter is capable of providing Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (39) Alacrity at 1200 range, making it very effective at handling mechanics. The tether is randomly applied to an ally within range whenever you Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (40)Enter Shadow Shroud, and will remain on that ally until you are 1200 units away from each other. A new target for the tether can be manually selected by targeting an ally and using Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (41)Siphon on them. This is very useful to do before the fight starts, as you ideally want to use Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (42)Siphon on enemies for the Shadow Force generation during combat.

Other Boons

Fury, Might and Vigor

100% uptime of these boons are provided by Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (43)Well of Bounty and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (44)Siphon (with the Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (45)Thrill of the Crime and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (46)Bountiful Theft traits).

Protection

Your main source of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (47) Protection is from the combination of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (48)Blinding Powder and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (49)Cover of Shadow, and topped up with ally-targeted Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (50)Shadow Sap.

If stealthing allies is a problem, then Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (51)Relic of the Zephyrite can be used to provide additional uptime.

Regeneration

Your main source of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (52) Regeneration is Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (53)Well of Bounty, and topped up with ally-targeted Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (54)Endless Night or Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (55)Shadowsquall.

Stability

Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (56)Well of Bounty and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (57)Mind Shock (with Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (58)Shadestep) provide AoE Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (59) Stability. These are both used in your normal rotation, so encounter knowledge is key for ensuring you can provide it when needed.

Healing

Practically everything you do provides some measure of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (60) Barrier or healing:

  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (61)Shadow Savior and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (62)Traversing Dusk heal on every shadowstep, which applies to all your wells, Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (63)Measured Shot (Sceptre/Pistol) and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (64)Infiltrator's Strike Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (65)Infiltrator's Return (Sword).
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (66)Merciful Ambush and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (67)Panaku's Ambition heals and provides Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (68) Barrier to allies that you Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (69) Stealth.
  • Thanks to Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (70)Shadestep, all your Shadow Shroud skills heal allies near your tethered target.
  • If using Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (71)Consume Shadows, your remaining Shadow Force is converted into healing (and overhealing into Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (72) Barrier) when you Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (73)Exit Shadow Shroud.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (74)Well of Gloom has inherent healing, plus the shadowstep healing, plus some Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (75) Barrier for good measure via Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (76)Shielding Restoration.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (77)Measured Shot and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (78)Endless Night (Sword/Pistol) provide healing and barrier, respectively, to allies they target. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (79)Shadow Sap (Sceptre), Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (80)Twilight Combo (Sceptre/Dagger) and your Sceptre autoattack also provide a small amount of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (81) Barrier when targetting allies.

Weapons

The two weapons have different playstyles:

Scepter

Via its allied-targeted abilities, Scepter fills in the gaps in uptime of your key boons, namely Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (82) Protection with Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (83)Shadow Sap and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (84) Regeneration with Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (85)Measured Shot Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (86)Endless Night. During downtime you can also autoattack an ally to provide AoE Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (87) Barrier.

If using scepter, it is strongly recommended to have some method for quickly targetting allies: Set/Take Personal Target, Nearest/Next/Previous Ally, or Ally Targeting Mode in the options will all allow this. Go for whichever you find most convenient.

Sword

Sword can be swapped too as needed for burst healing. On this set you provide heals by spamming Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (88)Infiltrator's Strike and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (89)Infiltrator's Return to repeatedly trigger Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (90)Shadow Savior and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (91)Traversing Dusk.

Scepter/Pistol

Before the encounter starts, it can be very helpful to select and ally and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (92)Siphon them. This will mark them as the target of your tether and all the boons provided by Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (93)Shadestep will pulse around that player as long as they remain within range (or until you target another player manually with Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (94)Siphon). Ideally this will be a player that can be relied upon to be on the stack. If you do not target a specific player, a random one will be picked when you Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (95)Enter Shadow Shroud.

Opener

This opener is just one possibility. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (96) Alacrity can usually be delayed at the start of an encounter, allowing you to spend initiative to provide other boons first.

  1. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (97)Well of Bounty - Opens with a burst of boons, and drops a combo field for triggering Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (98)Relic of Karakosa
  2. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (99)Blinding Powder
  3. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (100)Enter Shadow Shroud
  4. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (101)Mind Shock - Cast first so that the blast hits within the duration of the combo field. This step can be skipped or moved if the CC or Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (102) Stability will be needed shortly, and it won't be off cooldown every loop.
  5. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (103)Grasping Shadows
  6. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (104)Eternal Night
  7. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (105)Dawn's Repose
  8. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (106)Haunt Shot until Grasping Shadows is off cooldown
  9. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (107)Grasping Shadows
  10. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (108)Exit Shadow Shroud - we stay in shroud just long enough to gain five stacks of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (109)Consume Shadows
  11. Target an ally
  12. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (110)Measured Shot Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (111)Endless Night
  13. Spam all your remaining initiative on allied-targeted Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (112)Shadow Sap
  • Use Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (113)Well of Bounty off cooldown (you can delay slightly if needed for Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (114) Stability).
  • Other wells can be used situationally, but it is handy to use one just before entering shroud.
  • Use Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (115)Blinding Powder off cooldown. Outside of the opener, follow it up with an ally-targeted Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (116)Shadowsquall to maintain Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (117) Regeneration.
  • Use Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (118)Siphon off cooldown to provide AoE boons and maintain Shadow Force. If necessary, use the ally-targeted version to change your tether target.
  • Make sure to use at least five skills (including autoattacks) each time you enter shroud. There's no set rotation, but ideally you should exit before your initiative fills up.
  • Spend all your initative on scepter skills when outside of shroud. In general, this will be on Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (119)Shadow Sap as you'll need to use this on allies to maintain Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (120) Protection. Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (121)Measured Shot Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (122)Endless Night can be used to provide direct healing to allies that need it.
  • You have CC all over the place, but you can save some if there is an upcoming defiance bar you wish to delete.

Sword/Pistol

Sword/Pistol doesn't have a fixed rotation. As you don't need to be concerned with Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (123) Barrier management, you can just use Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (124)Siphon, wells, and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (125)Enter Shadow Shroud as they come off cooldown while spending your initative on spamming and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (126)Infiltrator's Strike and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (127)Infiltrator's Return.

CC

The majority of your CC is from Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (128) Daze and Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (129) Stun, making a Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (130)Sigil of Superior Sigil of Paralyzation especially effective (it affects daze as well).

  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (131)Siphon is a 1s Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (132) Daze when targeting enemies.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (133)Well of Silence is a 2s Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (134) Daze.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (135)Shadowfall pulls three times, for a total of 450 Defiance Break (contrary to the tooltip).
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (136)Basilisk Venom can provide 150 Defiance Break per target you hit, for a maximum potential of 750 on a shorter cooldown, though the CC can be wasted by allies hitting the wrong target.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (137)Dawn's Repose inflicts 1s of Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (138) Fear.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (139)Mind Shock is a 1.5s Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (140) Stun.
  • Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (141)Head Shot is a 2s Build:Specter - Alacrity Support Healer (142) Daze, and can be spammed as long as you have initiative.
