Can I put wheels from a 7.75 on a 8 deck?
My trucks and deck are 7.75 and I want to buy an 8" deck, would the trucks fit on? Yep. The trucks will fit fine, just not optimally. You won't notice the difference, though, it's not big enough to matter unless you're doing freestyle tricks like rail stands.
The difference is basically just in its size. ~ A larger size (8.25″) = easier to land tricks and roll around. ~ A smaller size (8″) = easier to lift up for tricks and carry around. Think about it, we're talking about less than an inch in difference!

Can 8.5 trucks fit 8.25 deck?
I purposefully buy 8.5 trucks (Indy Forged hollows) for my 8.25 boards. I really like the extra quarter-inch to help lock into grinds. It makes a noticeable difference for me, and I really enjoy it.

Does it matter if your trucks are smaller than your deck?
2.1 Skateboard Trucks: The right width
It's important that they're not much wider than the deck because otherwise, the centre of gravity will shift to the side of the deck. This may have an effect on flip tricks and can affect the general boardfeel. If your deck is slightly wider than your trucks, it's no problem.
Matching deck width to truck size
The principles behind this are straightforward; a truck too narrow for the board will make your board feel unstable, whilst a truck too wide will in turn limit the nimbleness of your plank and give you a generally sluggish feeling upon your board, which isn't a good thing.
Most skateboarders tend to steer clear of putting longboard wheels on a skateboard, as it can be considered illegal in some jurisdictions. As the dimensions and design of longboards are quite different from skateboards, they require different wheel sizes and types that may not fit on skateboard decks.
Can I put cruiser/longboard wheels on a regular skateboard? Sure you can! Small soft wheels will help you roll over much more terrain and have a much smoother ride. With that said, at a skatepark, you are sacrificing roll speed.

Midsize trucks also tend to have better visibility for drivers than their full-size counterparts. This is mainly due to the fact that they have shorter front ends and lower hoods. Midsize trucks are given smaller engines which means they'll tend to have lower horsepower and less torque but better fuel efficiency.

Don't linger in the blind spot. Make sure the truck or bus is visible in your rear view mirror before you pull in front; give it extra space. Avoid passing trucks and buses on a downgrade where they tend to pick up speed. Never pass from the right lane.
