‘Five Laws And Three Golden Rules Of Life’ (2024)

More than hundred years ago, Swami Vivekananda postulated the laws of life to improve one’s existence.

Most of these laws are even more relevant in these times of spiritual extinction.

Here is my take on the five essential ones.

‘Five Laws And Three Golden Rules Of Life’ (3)

1. Love is the way of life.

Love is essential, it is the nourishment of the soul. Don’t categorize your love in family, friends, community, religion.Experience the true love that kindles your heart and brings peace to your mind.

True love knows no boundaries.

Don’t hate anyone, hate is nothing but lack of love!

2. It is your attitude that matters.

“You are what your deep, driving desire is. As your desire is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.

It is all in the mind!

Your attitude towards life determines how happy or unhappy you are. Think positive and always remember the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!

3. Set yourself free.

Bound by the shackles of religion, society and expectations, stop living a life that is not based on our own preferences and desires. Say no to power games and stop being afraid of failure and rejection.

This is your life after all, break free by believing in yourself.

Make your own rules and strive to uphold your own ideas and standards.

4. Learn everyday.

If you truly seek understanding, then first, empty your cup! Humbly explore your outer and inner world and you will be surprised by the sense of fulfillment it brings you.

The goal of human life is knowledge- both material and spiritual. Don’t fail to learn a new thing everyday.

5. Listen to your soul, nothing is impossible.

You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.

Remember, there is nothing impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin — to say that you are weak. All the powers of the universe is already within us and we only need to realize our own potential.

Finally the three GOLDEN RULES of life.

-Who is Helping You, Don’t Forget them.

-Who is Loving you, Don’t Hate them .

-Who is Believing you, Don’t Cheat them.

So, Stop, think, contemplate…

If you would only give up hatred ,gather forgiveness all around you, learn to love unquestionably, unconditionally, and believe in your inner self.

You will make your life beautiful.
