John P. Smith 2024 John P. Smith, 52, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. He was born in Rome on January 12, 1972, a son of the late Samuel and Pauline (Marshall) Smith. On January 21, 1995, he was united in marriage to Melissa L. Tilton. John was a five-star auto technician at Victory Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Rome for several years. He loved working on cars, even on his own time. He always needed a project. He was a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church. John enjoyed golfing at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, fishing, going on cruises, and taking long rides on his Kawasaki Vulcan. He loved to tell a good joke and he was a tremendous storyteller.... Evelyn Moot Seaton 2024 Evelyn Seaton, 98 years young, passed from the loving arms of family into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the arms of her loving husband, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Woody was born in Jefferson Township, PA on November 22, 1935, to the late Evans and Erma Bahr Miller, and received his associate's degree from MVCC. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and honorably retired after 24 years of service. On July 1, 1978, he was united in marriage to the former Beverly J. Taylor in Rome; a blessed union of over 42 years until her passing on November 3, 2020. Following his military retirement, he continued working as military police for Rome Labs.
