World Largest Semi-truck

The world’s largest semi-truck is a 78.2-ton Tractomas TR 10×10 D100 by Nicolas Industries SAS in France. The special heavy-hauler is designed to haul mining and heavy road equipment and was verified as the world’s largest semi-truck by Guinness World Records in October 2005.

The longest ramp jump by a truck cab measured 50,60M (166Ft) and was completed by Gregg Godfrey at Evel Knievel days event in Butte, Montana on 24 July 2015.

Largest Parade of Trucks

The largest parade of trucks consisted of 480 trucks and was achieved by Tahya Misr Fund in Cairo, Egypt on 20 November 2020.

The first largest parade of trucks was achieved 16 years ago in the Netherlands with a parade size of 416 trucks.

The longest ramp jump by a truck and trailer is 25.48m (83 ft 7 in) and was achieved by Mike Ryan on behalf of EMC Corporation and the Lotus F1 Team at BentwatersPark, Suffolk, UK on 6 November 2014.

First Shipment by Self-Driving Truck

Otto’s Beer Delivery Hailed as First Shipment by Self-Driving Truck.

Otto announced on Oct. 25 that one of its heavy-duty, self-driving trucks completed a 120-mile delivery for Anheuser-Busch InBev the week of Oct 17 in what it called the world’s first shipment by a self-driving truck.

Oldest Truck Driver in the World

At 97, Floyd Van Alstyne claimed to be the oldest truck driver in America.

The Vermont man drives log trucks and dump trucks for sawmill on his family farm. Now, at 99, he was honored by the town of Barnard for his years of service.

Most Miles Driven Safely in a Commercial Truck

William Coe, Jr., of Tallahassee, Florida was honored in 2009 for driving 3,001,276 miles safely in a commercial truck.

Coe started driving trucks in February 1986 and at the time of the record, had not had a single preventable accident for 23 years.

Heaviest Vehicle Pulled Over 100m by a Wheelchair Team

Taking place at Fliegerhorst Hopsten in ho*rstel, Germany, on 10 July 2013, the team of 25 friends hauled three wrecking trucks with a combined weight of 50,080 kg (110,407.5 lb) over 100 m (328 ft).

Andy Pelphrey blew his whistle at a truck 38 times in 10 seconds.

Fastest Jet-Powered Truck in the World

Shockwave is the world’s fastest jet-powered semi.

Its record speed is 376 MPH! It’s also the world’s only triple-engine jet truck.

The engines used in Shockwave are 3, J34-48 Pratt & Whitney jet engines which were initially used in the US Navy’s T-2 Buckeye aircraft.

Marco Hellgrewe (Germany) reversed an articulated truck for 64 km (39.7 miles) non-stop in 5 hr 21 min on a circuit on the German forces training area in Bergen, Germany, on 22 September 2008.

Fastest Package Loading and Unloading from a Truck

In Turkey, in 2009, fifteen employees of Aras Cargo got together to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the courier company.

And by celebration, they meant an attempt to set a world record for packing and unpacking a truck. They managed to do it in 16 minutes and 38 seconds.

Heaviest Truck pulled by a Hair

The heaviest vehicle pulled by hair is 10,380 kilograms (22883.98 lb) and was achieved by Mahmood Shamshun Al Arab (UAE) in Fujairah, UAE, on 2 December 2017.
